Greenberg & Bass has announced that Richard A. Brownstein has joined the firm as Of Counsel. “Richard’s exceptional background and expertise is a solid complement to G&B’s well-established bankruptcy practice,” stated James R. Felton, Managing Partner.
Mr. Brownstein was certified by the California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Bankruptcy Specialist in 1995. Prior to joining Greenberg & Bass, he was a partner at Brownstein & Brownstein LLP for more than eight years. Mr. Brownstein will continue his practice in debt restructuring, asset protection and recovery, workout solutions, and Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies. Specializing in providing complete solutions for financially distressed businesses and individuals, Mr. Brownstein’s practice will also include out-of-court reorganizations, Assignments For the Benefit of Creditors, ordered liquidations, as well as strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies.
Mr. Brownstein is Past Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission, Board of Legal Specialization, of the State Bar of California; and has received an AV Rating from Martindale Hubbell. He received his B.A. from California State University at Northridge and his J.D. from San Fernando Valley College of Law, La Verne.
